Eastside Longboards is a small local company specializing in unique urban - style skateboards. Eastside was started in 2003 because the assortment of commercially available longboards didn't appeal to the terrain of urban streets and hills. Something more versatile was needed. Portland native and creater Robin McGuirk originally introduced a line of shorter longboards that could go fast with control but also stiffer and short enough to manuever quickly through city terrain. This lead to perfecting the concave and tail in order to maximize control and urban mobility. Next came the need for speed as the Racing Scene exploded in 2005. Eastside then introduced, after many modifications, their speedboard known as the Eastside DropBoard. Its has been refined further into one of the best speedboards on the market today. And it is the official Speedboard for The Eastside Racing Crew.

In 2007 a new model called the DropKick has been released that features the drop-thru design with a KickTail, making it a hybrid between the cruiser boards and the DropBoard. This is Champion King Robskey's secret weapon board for the Push Races and Eastside's most versatile board. So no matter your size or skill level, there is sure to be one that suits your style. Each longboard is laminated, shaped, and finished by hand in our production shop on the Eastside of Portland, Oregon.

Eastside Rollers is our longboarding club that brings together this community in Portland to have a good time skating. Whether you're just getting rolling or you're an experienced rider, you are welcome to meet up with us and enjoy some of the regions best downhilling. This site is dedicated to longboarders everywhere as an informational tool and guide to the longboarding community of the Portland area. Eastside supports longboarding as a fun and efficient form of transportation!
